Monthly Board Meetings

The City of Westwood Board of Commissioner meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at John Knox Presbyterian Church located at 9104 Westport Rd, Louisville, KY 40242.

The meetings are open to the public. If you would like to address the Board, please see the guidelines below.


Guidelines to Speak at the City Board Meetings.

Per City of Westwood Code of Ordinances §30.02:

(A) Speakers shall be restricted to a maximum of five minutes each and may not share these minutes with any other speaker; however, persons with medically recognized disabilities who are entitled to a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), being 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101 et seq., shall be given an additional minute to speak.

(B) In order to speak at a regularly scheduled Commission meeting:

(1) A speaker must register with the City Clerk;

(2) The period to register begins at the conclusion of the prior regularly scheduled Commission meeting and ends at 4:00 p.m. of the day before the next regularly scheduled meeting in which the person intends to speak;

(3) Persons registering with the Clerk may leave their name/alias and address, and shall notify the Clerk of the topic in which they will speak; and

(4) No more than three persons may speak with the same position on any one topic before the Board at any meeting (i.e., six persons can speak on one topic before the Board at a particular meeting, three in support and three against).

(C) Any materials presented to the Board may be forwarded prior to all Commissioner gatherings to the Clerk for dissemination purposes.

(D) Speakers may not engage in electioneering, nor the endorsement or promotion of any commercial product or service. (Res. 1, Series 2012-2013, passed 6-4-2012)
